Its been over a year and I have not blogged in forever and in that time I have gotten married, moved into a new apartment and finally got a job. Its only a temp job but its a job and I wont complain.

Japanese Gardens Trip

Some friends came down and we took them to
the Japanese Gardens and we had a blast.

We talked and got caught up on current events, and walked,

And walked and walked,

omg wheres a bench oh theres one!

then we walked some more omg whats with all the walking,

We walked some more and found a rock garden and Josh played tour guide and read to us all about it. He even included vocals to lend to the spirit of the story tho he sounded more chinese then japanese.

there were many beautiful sights, ponds with fish ( koi ) water falls, elegant paths, and omg more walking,

and another stop at one of the other rock gardens there were many,

a quick stop on the bench for a rest at one of the 2 tea houses where they give preformances. None the day we were there but we got there schedule to go back and see one.

Along with the beautiful ponds and paths there were several water features omg i need a house now with a huge yard!

we have so many pictures of more paths and ponds and mini waterfalls there were just to many to post.

This apartment has a roomy, full sized kitchen and dining area...no small appliances here. It has a Hardwood floor in the front room. This is on the upper floor, an end unit with lots of windows. It will be available the beginning of October. We are close to shopping, on the busline, with Max a couple blocks away. We pay for garbage, sewer and water. We have a $25 per month utility charge for your hot water. Clean laundry facilities are on site. We provide assigned and guest parking. I'll get better pictures once were all moved in before and after if I remember.

1. even at my weight I can still put one of my feet behind my head! Yes I know im weird.

2. I used to live on a farm and still wish i did i miss living out in the country, i miss the crickets and the dark nights with bright stars, and you never loose the moon behind a building. you always know where it is. It drives me nuts not knowing where the moon is.

3. Despite everyones oppinions my favorite color is not black its pink

4. in my oppinion mashed potatoes can be a main course especially with sour cream, chives, bacon bits and cheese

5. I have 7 or 8 historical romance or futuristic novels in the works all without the muture content! You dont always need a sex scene to have a good movie or book.

6. You are NEVER to old to play a game and have fun! ever!

BBQ Snack Packs I am hopeing in the next weekend or two to head over to robins and try a couple of these recipes out and see how they cook up and freeze. I think with the recipes I have and the ideas I have they will freeze beautifully

I found these recipes for full meals in foil on the BBQ and thought what a wonderful idea! I can do this so i created BBQ Snack Packs, snack versions for your bbq party. see recipe below I created a version for parents and kids.

Parents Version:

Shopping list for Adults:1 loaf of garlic bread, 4 ears of corn, 40 mushrooms, 30 green onions, 1 pkg of skewers, 1 pkg chicken breasts 1 box of tin foil.

Seasonings: Extra Virgin olive oil, johnny's seasoning salt or salt and pepper, worseshire sauce and your favorite BBQ Sauce.

Adults Prep:
Pull out 20 sheets of Tin foil about 10” by 8”
Pull out 10 sheets of Tin foil about 3” by 6”
Cut loaf of garlic bread into 10 pieces and wrap each piece in small tin foil set aside. I buy the pre made garlic bread its less hassle and ready to go.
Cut chicken into bite size pieces around 1 ½ inches long and put them on skewer make 10 place in bowl or pan and merinate.
Marinade. In a bowl mix your favorite bbq sauce and worsteshire sauce with a little oil. Brush this on both sides of the chicken lightly sprinkle with Johnny’s or salt and pepper.
Cut corn in to 3” pieces and set aside
Take mushrooms wash and remove stems ( you can save these and chop up and sauté for your spaghetti sauce later or throw away) throw tops in a bowl then cut tops of green onions off and making them about 6” long and throw in the bowl with mushrooms.
Take your mushrooms and onions and in a bowl mix them with extra virgin olive oil and sprinkle with johnnys or salt and pepper.

Assembly Adults:
Take 1 sheet of 10” by 8 tin foil and on left side set 1 wrapped piece of garlic bread. Next to that place 3 onions and 4 mushrooms then place 1 chicken skewer and 1 piece of corn. Take a second sheet of 10” by 8 foil and set over top folding each side over 2 of 3 times making sure to leave enough space for expansion. Place on BBQ and in no time at all your guest will be enjoying there own personal BBQ Snack pack.

Childrens Shopping List: 1 loaf of garlic bread 4 ears of corn 5 baker potatoes 1 pkg chicken tenders, 1 box of tin foil

Childrens Prep:

Place on BBQ and in no time at all the kids will be enjoying there own personal BBQ Snack pack.

A couple weeks ago We all went to a funural for my uncle Jim he was a great man, always made us laugh. Was good to see the family, but he will be dearly missed. Here is his Car he finished before he passed and some pictures of the family that were up there.

In the picture you see my uncle tony cleaning it after the cruise in show.

We Managed to get a picture of our cousins Larry and Shelly.

It was a beautiful event and the sadest event at the same time.

New Tracker up

Its not the wedding counter I had but it will do for now. I went on a diet i didnt want to go on. And eating has become a nightmare. I was down to 1 tooth to chew with now im down to none. The right side dont have any upper chewing teeth to chew with and the Left side decided to quit on me this weekend and broke. ( boy this is fun :-( NOT! So yogart, hotdogs and shakes have become my friend if you have any recipes email em to me please i need something different.

I found a few recipes im going to try out this week we shall see how they go. Even soft they sound pretty good.

Chili Soup: Nallys regular chili, hand full of cheese, onion, sour cream place all in the magic bullet or blender and mix.

Tuna Salad: which doesnt sound unusual unless you take 1 can tuna 1 can cream of mushroom soup and 1 box of mac n cheese throw cheese powder away and cook and mix the rest. Cook and then place in magic bullet and press down for 1 sec 3 times were not going for mush just crumbs.

Will let you know how they taste.

Missing Tracker

Some will notice the wedding tracker is missing. I Took it down as our roomate decided to ditch us leaving me to bare the full brunt of the bills while tony is still looking for work. I havent been able to save for the wedding let alone a cheese burger. So i will update that again when i have more news.

were in the process of trying to find a smaller place to live if you see any cheap studios or 1 bedrooms let us know.

Im taking tony down tomorrow and geting him his liscense back maybe that will help get him a job sooner as everyone keeps saying sorry you dont have a liscense but we need someone with one. we shall see what happens.

Spring Cleaning Con't

First im not sure if i want to put the table buried by the big garbage bags and turn it long ways or leave it side ways. will have to see how it looks both ways.

little red chair is going out the door asap and the beautiful antique dresser (ty daddy) is going in my room and in its place you will see a half moon shaped table with mirror not sure where im going to put the pewter horse yet tho. Any ideas?

Now this gets trickier, the blue couch under the windows is leaving and the tv and little stand is going there, the little round table with the heafty garbage bags is sitting in front of the dvd rack which is going next to the tv when said couch leaves. and the windows are getting 1 giant curtain rod and some very nice curtains or what i can get mom to give me fabric wise. ( hehehe ) the coffee table is leaving as well and so is the little table holding the lamp.

However everything is still up in the air as to where its going so any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Have a good day and happy spring cleaning to you!

Spring Cleaning

I have Decided to do my spring cleaning in the spring this year. ( LOL )

The progress so far,
3 jumbo bags of garbage
2 kitchen bags of garbage
1/4 of a container of cleaner wipes

And what i have clean is -------->

( boy do i have alot of work to do ) (jk)

Will take pictures of the progress and show you what my new updated cute little apartment looks like.
I have actual dinnette set and a very nice simple side table half moon shaped and a mirror to match going up either tonight or tomorrow.
And the chairs on the dinnette set are off white really dirty so im going to change them i havent decided between zebra strips with a zebra table cover while not in use or a basic color. ( What do you think? it has to go with black tho cause the base of the table and the chairs are black )

hmm i might just do both and make them a removeable

Twas the night mom and dad went to the beach.....

And all thru the house every creature was stiring even the mice. ( well im sure they were some where) all tucked in my bed with 2 cats and a chocolate lab i settle down for a nice long nap ( you would be tired too after working then doing 8 loads of laundry and im still not done) when out in the living room there arose such a clatter i sprang from my bed to see what was the matter.

when out in the living room there staring up at me was a pair of innocent kittenish eyes who had knocked over all the laundry and was playing in it. ( silly cat )

back in my bed with 1 cat and 1 chocolate lab i settle again for that nice long nap when again i heard such a noice! i yelled down the hall get out of the socks. and happily slept.

Wedding Plans Continue

Wow time is flying and im not even halfway done yet. 5 months today and ill be walking down the isle it seems so far away and yet so close. Im both excited and terrified. Its a 1% verses 99% kinda thing that flip flops back and forth.

The Menu has been set mostly just not sure what to serve for drinks I was thinking of a sherbert punch bowl drink and then ice water and maybe coffee and juice.

The food mmmm we are haveing Chicken Skewers, Pot Stickers and Spring rolls simple and filling im getting lotts.

Later will be cake and probably martinellies for toasts.

The guest list is started but not hammered out yet.

Hard drive blues

Well i Went to add grandmas bday, xmas, and my alabama trip and when i got started i heard this noise coming from my computer it want tick tick tick poof and then my hard drive died /cry.

Good thing i got the full warrenty on it and should have my computer back up and running by this weekend. (hopefully)

I have selected the bridesmaids dresses and the color

I have picked out tonys wedding band, and after he gave me mine was upset that he had to wait till the wedding to wear his!

We have selected my wedding band

I have a couple of dresses that im looking at I will keep that one a supprise. I think I have the menu down too just need to get the invitations out and see who rsvp's so i can order the food. As the weddings in july it should be warm then and I would like to have an outdoor wedding so if you have any ideas please let me know. First thought was Robin's back yard in front of the fountain but its looking like the guest list will be too big for there little back yard.

I have even picked out the bridsmaids jewerly (always the classic with pearls)

As it stands right now my side guest list alone is going to be 60 people ( wow i really didnt think I knew that many people) and maybe another 20 more from tonys side for a total of 80 people.

a perfect moment

while they are few and far between perfect moments do happen, they are not urban legands as some would have you believe,

I had one such moment at moms birthday party at red lobster (and while you think red lobster is a weird place to have such a moment you try there biscuits and then get back to me) we were all going around the table saying what we were grateful for as is tradition now (ty chris :-D ) to put the birthday person in the hot seat, and when we finished we prayed giving thx for that person in our lives.

While this was happening i took time to play with ethen for a moment. as we started to pray i bowed my head and closed my eyes and a few seconds later i felt a small finger touch my nose, and a 2 year old in his infinite wisdom (thru the teachings of his mother and father simply held out his hand and whispered pray, taking hold of my hand and simply bowing his head and remaining quiet.

Now this stunned and shocked me, i watched him for almost a minute but all he did was bow his head and close his eyes chris the ever watchful dad (checking in to make sure hes not running off) simply smiled as a proud papa does, Ethen remained quiet for 3 minutes just holding my hand i was checking and after that he whispered to me questions about the fish ( at least i think they were questions about the fish) until chris said amen and then proceeded to order me to show him the fish after holding his hand for the full prayer and him just standing there i could do no less. ( fish beware )

my family was there mostly the food other then the steak was unbelieveable (who knew crab legs were so good) (quiet dad) the shrimp was wonderful and mom didnt share either of her lobsters (its her birthday we will forgive her this time) the presents unwrapped a smile on moms face is all a girl could ask for (except maybe some more biscuits) dang they were good

Cookie Jar

Well the cookie jar is full again, Mother and both daughters took control of robins kitchen with robin in the lead and made several dozen cookies.

Chocolate krinkles, almond flavored press cookies, thumb prints (next time we make a double batch of those too) robin pulled out her dough from last week of (chocolate chip oatmeal peanut butter cookies) they are a mouth full but really good and a batch of garidelli chocolate chip cookies

So this morning tony wakes me up and says were going out and that he has a supprise for me, we get in the car drive to chevron to pick up something, then to fredys to pick up something else and then he takes me to this very cute place for an awesome breakfast.

While Waiting for our food he says i got you something and pulls out a little blue box. And yes its real and its gorgous 1/4 ktw diamond heart pendant isnt it sooo cute. I love him.

You know those commercials where there sitting in the restaurant waiting for food and he slides something across the table? IT WAS JUST LIKE THAT only better.

OMG did the scale just say 274 1/2 lbs i was fully clothed but OMG im freaking out!

At work there are many companys. On the first floor is Curves for women and they are doing a study right now. And it couldn't have happened any sooner. So for the next 3 weeks i get to work out all i want anytime i want for free, and at the end they measure me and compare from what i was at the begining.

OMG 274 time to get crackin anyone can sign up for this here in portland at montgomery park for the next 3 weeks and its 3 weeks of fun. the first time you are with a trainer the whole time and they rock and i had a blast. went a little over board and ill feel it tomorrow but i cant wait to do it again.

This week in Spa, Life and family

This week in Spa
I have been thinking about this and instead of having someone host a spa. I'm going to have a big party myself and give away prizes and samples. I have thought about this and i am going to rent for the day 5 recliners and then set up everything in the living room. There will be 3 themes the first one will be Herbal Serenity for hands, Save your sole for feet and the Relaxation portion will be all faces. Not sure when i will have it but the invitation's will be going out soon. The order is ready I'm just waiting for the back order stuff to come in before i put the full order in. Trust me family you will enjoy it.

This week in Life
Not much happening, I finished a huge project at work, I'm pretty happy about that took me 17 work hours non stop to do it, my apartment is getting a personal make over (meaning I'm cleaning and rearranging) Have found a new band that i love called the Benjamin Gate wonderful music.

This week in Family
Most of them are in Disneyland /cry i want to see mickey but from what i have seen and heard there having a blast and i have seen the pics i cant wait to see more. Including a few famous ones. Check out robins blog for more info. Hope they dont get too sun burnt.

And the big box was...... woo hoo an air conditioner i soooooo wanted one! its soooo pretty! Should be up and running today or tomorrow! i sooo cant wait. And Ethen helped me open it. Then he claimed it for himself! who knew he wanted one :-)

I caught one on camera! Isnt that just the cutest smile! Couldnt you just eat him up???? Im not biased in the least my nephews are the cutest babys ever. No not biased at all.
And the supprise guest has arrived, were not sure if its a grasshopper, a locust, or some kind fo a mantis but he sure is cute.
